JOHNSTOWN — Fulton-Montgomery Community College and University at Albany recently signed a transfer agreement for 56 programs covering several majors.
Students from FM can now seamlessly transfer into their program of study at the University at Albany to continue their upper level courses and complete a bachelors degree.
According to an FM release, this allows students who want to stay in the Capital Region the opportunity to do just that.
“Strengthening the partnership between FM and University at Albany allows for students to know exactly what courses to take at FM to transfer in junior standing as their coursework is completely outlined,” said Dr. Greg Truckenmiller, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at FM.
Some new programs at SUNY Albany included in these transfer agreements are: Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security, and Cyber Security; Digital Forensics; and, Computer Engineering. Other more broad programs include social sciences, business, social welfare, and the physical sciences. Students will begin their studies at FM and end their studies with a Bachelor degree from University at Albany.
