NORTHVILLE — Northville Central School is accepting registrations for the “Imagination Garden” program for children three years of age. This program is designed to prepare children for Pre-K by providing opportunities for exposure and practice of basic skills required for preschoolers entering the Pre-K program for the following school year. Monthly sessions will allow parents to attend with their child as they participate in story readings, crafts, movement and music activities. The program will be directed by Mindy Lawrence, NCS teacher, with assistance from Kristie Javarone, Preschool speech/language provider. Registration materials and information can be obtained in the elementary office. The first session will be held Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Guidelines on the program are as follows:
The child must be three years old as of Dec. 1, 2013; a copy of the child’s immunization record and blood lead test must be submitted prior to attendance; an adult family member must attend the sessions with the child; sessions will meet once a month from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. from October through May with a final end of the year celebration session in June.
