• Kashyra Tomlinson, 27, of 285 Union Mills Road in Broadalbin was arrested May 5 and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
According to a release, Tomlinson allegedly threw a boot at her daughter, hitting her in the face and causing swelling around the eye. Tomlinson was arraigned in Broadalbin Town Court and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear back in court at a later date.
• Dustin P. Poyfair, 23, of Gloversville was arrested May 9 by Fonda Troopers and charged with five counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, class A misdemeanor, unlawful possession of marijuana, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree and numerous vehicle and traffic offenses.
According to a release, Poyfair was observed allegedly operating a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country in Ephratah in violation of the posted speed limit. He was stopped on Kringsbush Road in Oppenheim.
The trooper allegedly observed several plastic sandwich bags around the center console. Poyfair allegedly stated there was no marijuana in the vehicle before throwing a metal smoking pipe into the back seat. Poyfair was removed from the vehicle and it was searched. Poyfair was allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine, hashish, Xanax, Suboxone and Oxycodone Hydrochloride.
Poyfair was arrested and transported to the Fonda barracks for processing. He was released with appearance tickets returnable to Towns of Oppenheim and Ephrarah courts for future dates.
• Jared VanVranken, 24, of Gloversville was arrested May 13 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
According to a release, VanVranken was allegedly observed operating a 200 Ford Ranger on Golf Course Road with a license plate lamp equipment violation. Aftet stopped, the Trooper allegedly smelled the odor of marijuana. A search was performed and 5 grams of marijuana was found. VanVranken was released with an appearance ticket returnable to Amsterdam Town Court at a later date.
