JOHNSTOWN — Frasier Enterprises in Johnstown, owner and operator of over 200 Miracle-Ear centers nationwide, will host the 9th Annual Miracle-Ear Golf Tournament Friday, Aug. 18 through Sunday, Aug. 20 at Hales Mills Country Club.
The tournament benefits the Miracle-Ear Foundation, which provides underprivileged children and adults with hearing instruments.
Frasier Enterprises owner, Rick Frasier, and his business partners are supporters of the Miracle-Ear Foundation, a Minneapolis-based non-profit organization. To date, the Miracle-Ear Foundation has donated more than 13,000 hearing aids to nearly 7,500 individuals nationwide.
In 2016, Frasier Enterprises was responsible for 14 percent of all foundation fittings helping 188 individuals in its community. In total, this golf tournament has raised over $125,000 to date to help support people with hearing needs in the Fulton Montgomery region.
“There are 48 million Americans who suffer from hearing loss in the United States, and that loss lowers the quality of life for individuals at any age,” said Frasier. “That’s why we have hosted this golf tournament for the past nine years, hoping that through the Miracle-Ear Foundation and the money raised at this event we can enhance the lives of people in our community.”
The annual Miracle-Ear Golf Tournament started nine years ago with 34 teams. Over the years, the tournament has expanded to 72 teams and has already registered a full field of 144 participants. In addition to local golfers, Miracle-Ear franchisees from across the country travel to Johnstown and the Fulton County region to participate in the tournament and support the Miracle-Ear Foundation.
“We are amazed by the outpouring of support for this tournament, not only by local people and businesses, but also by people all over the country,” said Frasier. “We are grateful to all of the event supporters for the Miracle-Ear Foundation’s work toward improving lives through the gift of sound.”
