Webster — Express outdoors columnist Ron Kolodziej is among the winners this season in the annual New York State Outdoor Writer’s Association Excellence In Craft competition.
The veteran columnist and member of the state outdoorsmen hall of fame earned second-place  recognition for a story on the Great Sacandaga Lake.
Professional communicators from across New York, ranging from veteran pros to a high-school student, took honors in the annual Excellence in Craft Writing Awards and the Janice M. Keesler Memorial Photo Competition, announced recently at the annual conference of the New York State Outdoor Writers Association (NYSOWA), held in Webster.
The New York State Outdoor Writers Association is a group of more than 100 professional communicators and dozens of supporting outdoor industry members dedicated to craft improvement, conservation and ethics.
