Mayor offers thanks for carnival

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Village of Mayfield, I would like to thank Steve Van Allen, Carl Edwards, Lori Valk, Joan Bezio for the creative efforts and hard work in founding and running the first ever Mayfield Winter Carnival. I know they have been working very hard since November to put together all of the things the went into the carnival. They are great people of the community that should be recognized for that all that they do. I thank each of them and the many others who joined them along the way to create this new event that will get bigger and better for many winters to come.

 I also would like to thank Mayfield Principal Rob Husain for founding the first ever Polar Plunge, Louie and Nancy from Fuel n Food, Kevin and Tracy from The Mayfield Grill, Bob Fyre, Frank and Kathy Warner, Tami and Steve from the Southern Adirondack Snowmobile Club and the many businesses of the Mayfield community that help support the event.
