BOYS BASKETBALL
B-P boys falter in opener
BROADALBIN — Andrew Tabbert scored a game-high 17 points, and the Scotia-Glenville Tartans went 27-of-34 as a team from the free throw line to post a 69-56 victory over Broadalbin-Perth in Foothills Council boys basketball action Monday night.
Chris Zanta added 14 points for Scotia-Glenville (4-0, 1-0 Foothills), while Casey Norton scored 12. Brad Callahan was a perfect 8-for-8 from the charity stripe and scored 10 points.
R.J. Pingitore knocked down a trio of 3-pointers and scored a team-best 16 points for B-P (0-3, 0-1), while Dom Kwiatkowski chipped in with 15 points, Benn Bellandi scored nine and Brandon Pratt added eight.
Mayfield 63,
St. Johnsville 47
Andrew Haschytz scored 19 points and Ryan Hennessy added 18 points to lead Mayfield to a win over St. Johnsville.
Billy Handy and Dylan Toscano chipped in with 10 and nine points, respectively for Mayfield.
Eric Hart had 14 points for St. Johnsville.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Broadalbin-Perth 43,
Bishop Gibbons 35
Kaitlin Wood stuffed the stat sheet to lead the Lady Patriots, as Wood totaled nine points, 15 rebounds, five assists and four steals in B-P’s non-league victory.
B-P (2-0, 1-0 Foothills Council) outscored Bishop Gibbons (0-1) in the contest’s middle quarters, 26-10, to secure the victory. Katie Herba led the Lady Patriots with 11 points, while Megan Platt added nine points.
Talya Williams’ 13 points led Bishop Gibbons.

Mayfield 25
Emily Chrisman’s 17 points and Rylie Smith’s 15 led St. Johnsville (2-2, 1-0) to the win. Alex Sheldon had eight points for Mayfield (0-2, 0-2).
