Sectional champion from 2008 and 2009 Mayfield is the No. 3 seed in Class D and will open play Friday at home against No. 6 seed Lake George, with the winner heading to the semifinals for a Nov. 2 match against the winner of the 2/7 game between Hartford — the team that eliminated the Lady Panthers in last year’s Class D semifinals — and Waterford.
In Class B, Broadalbin-Perth is the No. 8 seed, earning the Lady Patriots an opening round home game Wednesday against No. 9 seed Ichabod Crane at 5 p.m. victory would place the Lady Pats in a meeting with top seed Schalmont. The game was not completed in time for the Express deadline.
