Western Athletic Conference

Mayfield 51, Canajoharie 45

CANAJOHARIE — Dylan Toscano knocked down a pair of 3-pointers and scored a game-high 16 points as Mayfield dealt a major blow to Canajoharie’s chances for a split championship in the Western Athletic Conference North Division by scoring a 51-45 win Friday night.

Ryan Hennessy added 12 points and Thomas Perham scored nine for Mayfield (8-6, 5-5 WAC North).

Dillan Veeder scored seven of his team-high 13 points at the line for Canajohaire (10-4, 8-2).

Ryan Hogde added nine points, while Josh Gonzalez scored eight and Kevin Shannon chipped in all seven of his points in the second quarter.

Saratoga Central Catholic 50, Northville 39

Casey Cohan had a game-high 21 points as the Saints outscored Northville 15-6 in the first quarter and kept their distance the rest of the way.

John Walsh added 12 points for Saratoga Catholic (7-7, 4-5).

Tyler Henderson had 10 points while Jim Grega and Kalob Russell each scored seven for Northville (2-10, 1-8).

Foothills Council

Fonda-Fultonville 62, Broadalbin-Perth 37

BROADALBIN — Up-and-unders, short jumpers, baby hooks — they were all falling for Fonda-Fultonville’s Will Turner.

Delivering on the potential head coach Eric Wilson has talked about all season, the 6-foot-7-inch sophomore center poured in a season-high 28 points Tuesday night against the Broadalbin-Perth Patriots in a non-league boys basketball matchup. Turner led the Braves to a 62-37 thumping of the Patriots, as F-F swept the season series from B-P.

Queensbury 55, Broadalbin-Perth 37

Evan Signor scored 17 points to help the Spartans dispatch B-P.

Raymond Bethel chipped in 10 points for a balanced Queensbury team, which got scoring contributions from 10 different players. R.J. Pingitore led B-P (1-10, 1-7 Foothills) with 17 points in defeat, while Ben Bellandi scored seven and Dominic Kwiatkowski contributed six.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Western Athletic Conference

Canajoharie 50, Mayfield 16

Mackenzie Stahler scored a game-high 15 points, and the Lady Cougars held Mayfield to just four points in the first half to cruise to a victory. Alicia Stetin chipped in 10 points for Canajoharie, which led 27-4 at halftime and never looked back.

Jesse LaVada, Nicole Little and Jessica Glode led Mayfield with three points each.

Northville 43, Saratoga Central Catholic 25

Allison Wadsworth’s game-high 18 points helped the Lady Falcons cruise past Spa Catholic.

Madalyn Ryan added nine points and Kristi Bills scored eight for Northville (7-5, 4-4).

Molly Cioffi led Saratoga Catholic with nine points.
