The new facility will be one-story, 7,444-square-foot structure which will include a sanctuary, children’s cry room, fellowship hall, offices, classrooms, food pantry, conference room, kitchen, choir room, closet space, restrooms and an attic.
The sanctuary will have 16-foot walls, featuring two stained glass windows salvaged and repaired after the fire, and can comfortably seat a number of parishioners, for a projected cost of $1.3 million.
The ceremonial ground breaking included architect Jim Hundt of Foresight Architects in Schenectady, who designed the new church. Contractor Stan Kucel will oversee the project.
