MAYFIELD - A summer tradition, the 36th annual Bannertown Fair begins this Thursday, Aug. 16, 6 p.m. at the Mayfield Firemen’s Association Fairgrounds, located on School Street in the village, across from the Mayfield Municipal Building.

The family friendly event has drawn people in for decades, both young and old and from near and far. The fair, offering nightly musical entertainment, rides by Wheelock Rides, of Syracuse, traditional fair culinary delights by vendors and the the Mayfield Firemen’s Association, as well as demonstrations and vendors booths, had a little something for everyone. Enter at the fair for a nightly free ton of pellets drawing

• Thursday night from 6 p.m. to close is also wristband night for the kids with musical entertainment by All Fired Up. Purchase a $13 wristband and be entered into two $50 drawings

• Friday night  Aug. 17, the fair is open from 6 p.m. to close with Skyler’s Dream Team playing live in the pavilion.

• Saturday, Aug. 18 from noon on the fairgrounds will be open with Elvis visiting, beginning at 1 p.m. and Edison Kane playing tunes.

• Saturday night entertainment by the Karg Bros. until close.

The annual Bannertown Parade will take place on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. on School Street, and winding through the village, and ending at the Mayfield Town Court.
