The club is celebrating its 70th anniversary.
Ice races were scheduled this weekend in Lake George but were canceled due to unsafe ice conditions. The event is rescheduled for this weekend on the GSL.
Gates will open at 8 a.m., sign-ups begin at 9 a.m., practice is schedule for 11 a.m., with racing beginning at noon. There is a $10 admission fee.
This past weekend’s races were the first of the season for the club, with a goodturn out of participants.
Last winter was the first time Electric City Riders raced on the Great Sacandaga Lake. Members said they were pleased with the venue and accommodations provided by Sport Island Pub. This year they shortened the track a bit. Overall, the club is pleased with the great spectator attendance.
